The fine print
Terms &
conditions
These terms and conditions apply to every quote, assignment and delivery by Memento Studios, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
1. Booking
An assignment is final once the client has confirmed the quote in writing.
2. Deposit
For assignments over €500, we ask for a deposit of 30% of the quoted amount. The deposit is non-refundable. When a shooting day is rescheduled in line with article 4, the deposit carries over to the new date. A deposit that has already been paid is deducted from any rescheduling or cancellation fee.
3. Payment
The remaining amount is payable within 14 days of receiving the invoice. Depending on the type of assignment, we send the invoice the day after the shoot or upon delivery of the final product.
4. Rescheduling and cancellation
- More than 7 days before the shooting day: rescheduling is free of charge.
- Between 7 days and 48 hours before the shooting day: you can reschedule once free of charge, to a new date within 4 weeks. A second reschedule or a cancellation in this period costs 25% of the shooting day fee.
- Less than 48 hours before the shooting day: 50% of the shooting day fee is charged.
- Cancellation on the shooting day itself or no-show: 100% of the shooting day fee is charged.
If an assignment is cancelled more than 7 days in advance, no costs are charged beyond the deposit (see article 2).
The shooting day fee is the price stated in the quote for the shooting day or days concerned.
If Memento Studios has to cancel because of illness or force majeure, we plan a new date together or refund the deposit.
5. Delivery
Photos are delivered within 1 to 2 weeks after the shoot via an online gallery or shared folder. Videos are delivered within 2 to 4 weeks. Faster delivery is possible by arrangement.
6. Copyright and use
Memento Studios keeps the copyright on all work, unless agreed otherwise in writing. The client receives a licence to use the work for personal or business purposes. Commercial reuse, resale or distribution to third parties requires prior consultation.
7. Portfolio
We may use the work for our portfolio and for promotion, such as our website and social media, unless the client lets us know in advance that they do not want this.
8. Editing and revisions
All work is professionally edited in our own style. Small adjustments requested by the client are included. The number of feedback rounds included is stated in the quote. If nothing is stated, one feedback round is included. Additional rounds are charged separately.
9. Third parties
When other people are involved in a production, such as makeup artists, models or stylists, their responsibilities are agreed in advance.
10. Unforeseen circumstances
In case of bad weather, technical problems or force majeure, we look for a solution or a new date together, at no extra cost.
